Vibrant Still.

Porcelain, Earthenware, Underglaze, Glaze

12” x 11” x 6”

I can still see her in my mind. She is smiling, twinkling. I fired this piece based on her name over and over to give to her widower but couldn’t get the glaze right. I failed. By revisiting and adding to her commemoration, I tried to emulate and enliven the lightness, ferocity and complexity of her spirit -- so much more than the text of her name – as well as the dissonance of her death. She is Vibrant Still.
